Pilot Corp. Pilot was founded in 1918 by Ryosuke Namiki. Originally called the Namiki Manufacturing Company, its name was hanged to Pilot Fountain Pens in 1938 and to Pilot in 1989. It's then changed to Pilot Corporation, the present name, in 2003. But although it's a stationary company, it also produces toys for kids.
